My husband loves this place when we are in town. It's kind of eclectic. Breakfast is really good. Nothing bad could ever be said about a classic breakfast menu. Come, stay, eat. You'll be glad you did!

Came in for a quick lunch. Nice, casual downtown location. Friendly staff. Not a ton of options but everything you would want for a lunch spot. Stop in and try them out.

I've been to Cafe Mimi a few times for lunch and had the Shaken Beef every time. It's so good, but really need to try something new next time. Great service too.

Stopped in while visiting the city for a quick lunch. Great spot for quick quality food. Cafe Mimi is counter service, so I'd recommend figuring out what to get when you're on the way there. We had the Shaking beef and Pho, both were really good and came out super fast. Was this the best Viet cuisine I've ever had? No. But did it hit the spot and leave me full? Absolutely.

I ordered takeout from Cafe Mimi and it was delicious! I had the shrimp pho, spring rolls, and house fried rice to share. The ladies in the front were so nice and I can tell they emphasize customer satisfaction at their restaurant. Via DoorDash, I only had to wait for my broth and the entire meal was so good. I even have some leftovers! Definitely a great visit if you enjoy pho.

My story here is a little humorous, at least to me, but it turned into a great experience I won't forget! I come to Baton Rouge about once a month for work and will often pick up lunch downtown. My normal place had a line going out the door due to a convention in town. With that I had to find another place and, as I was walking around saw a sign saying: "Daily Special - Cheeseburger and Fries." Knowing nothing about the place I thought, "That sounds safe at least." I go in, order the cheeseburger and fries, and sit down. It's only after that that I look around and realize I'm in a Vietnamese restaurant! I love pho and other Vietnamese food! I'm usually the guy who makes fun of the guy who orders American food at Vietnamese places!! Well, I was a bit bummed out at missing out on some good pho, but let me say that cheeseburger and fries meal was one of the best I ever had. The burger had a nice toasty bun, was juicy with a good amount of cheese and actually good tomatoes and lettuce! The fries were excellent as well! I probably won't come here again just for a cheeseburger (even though it would totally be worth it), but if they did a cheeseburger that good I can't wait to try some Vietnamese food next time I'm in town.

This place is NOT 5 stars based on menu and food and I would not drive long distances to eat here, but for me it was 5 stars for the following reasons: 1. It was across the street from my hotel, quick, and easy. 2. Ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit to go and it only cost $4.40 with tax and was prepared in a minute or two of entering the restaurant. The biscuits are amazing and fresh baked and they give you a lot of bacon. 3. After around 20 visits here the staff gave you that "Cheers" feeling (where everybody knows your name...). If this fits what you are looking for, you found a gem!!!
